PO4 Senior Engineer (Civil)

• Full Time Contract Opportunity until January 2026 (with view to extend)
• PO4 $78 - $84 per hour plus superannuation
• Gold Coast Location

Randstad Recruitment is proud to partner with a Queensland Government department who manages the transport systems and infrastructure across the state.

In your role as a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be tasked with providing technical expertise to support the efficient and effective management of state-controlled road infrastructure within the Region. This position is part of the Asset Management team and focuses on delivering specialized technical guidance for design, construction, and maintenance processes.

Duties include:

• Conducting assessments of road infrastructure assets and preparing reports on recommended engineering solutions to particular asset conditions from a life cycle perspective.
• Analysing infrastructure condition data along with traffic, environment, economic, and other relevant parameters in a big-data platform to develop whole-of-life asset management treatments options.
• Supporting asset management strategies for transport infrastructure that minimise whole of life costs across the elements.
• Providing support and advice on the planning and design process including business cases development, to ensure delivery of program outcomes, value for money and best practice are achieved.
• Determining the engineering requirements, including materials, critical components and systems, involved in supporting project management and delivery.
• Maintaining and applying all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects.

Skills & Experience:

• A Degree in Civil Engineering combined with relevant industry experience
• Open drivers license and white card required

It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider team's objectives.
